ABSTRACT
Water scarcity is a critical constraint to the cultivation of medicinal crops. Establishing irrigation requirements for plants crucial large-scale production crude drugs in China. To evaluate response indigowoad root growth water deficit (WD) under-mulched drip irrigation, and determine optimal mode this crop Hexi Corridor's desert oasis, two WD levels were applied: mild (65–75% FC [field capacity]) moderate (55–65% FC). These treatments implemented during vegetative (VG) fleshy-root (RG) stages, sufficient supply maintained other plant stages. A total seven combined imposed, with (85–75% FC) as control treatment. From 2-year-long (2017, 2018) field experiment's results, 12 indicators growth, yield, consumption quality attributes evaluated via weighted fuzzy evaluation grey relation-coupling model. Results indicated that, greater amounts throughout period, value yield increased whereas their decreased. The V1G0 (mild treatment VG) was highest (0.1582, 0.1581), while that also relatively high (0.1524, 0.1532). Fuzzy values V1G1 VG RG) exceeded those V1G2 RG), but lower (0.1457, 0.1457) than (0.1494, 15155). Based on relation model, comprehensive score deemed best. Therefore, ensure both quality, recommended. Our results can provide scientific basis efficient water-saving oasis regions.
