Postoperative poor sleep quality and its associated factors among adult patients: A multicenter cross-sectional study

ABSTRACT
Sleep quality refers to a sense of being refreshed and rested after waking up from sleep. Postoperative patients were vulnerable poor sleep due having different contributing factors. The prevalence among postsurgical was left undisclosed in our study setting. Knowing the factors for helps us develop strategic plan prevention management.A multicenter cross-sectional design conducted on 424 who selected by systematic random sampling method. Data collected using Pittsburgh Quality Index face-to-face interview. analysis done SPSS version 25. For categorical data, chi-square test done. Bivariable multivariable analyses performed determine whether each independent variables is associated with outcome variable.Based this result, 64.9%. Among included study, which had an association postoperative age range 25-54 years (AOR = 15.13), male gender 4.81), educational level secondary school 6.29), patient income less than 2500 birr 3.77), anxiety 2.53), depression(AOR 22.8), light exposure(AOR 19.60), social support 1.98), emergency surgery 2.46) history moderate severe pain 38.18, (95% CI).Poor adult post-surgical significantly high Amhara regional comprehensive referral hospitals. Therefore; Clinicians need prioritize assessment needs minimize inducing disturbances.
