ABSTRACT
To evaluate the reliability and validity of Korean version 39-item Parkinson's disease questionnaire (PDQ-39).Cross-cultural adaptation was performed according to international guidelines: forward backward translation, focus group meeting, a field test. With consensus translation produced, validation assessed by evaluating validity. Ninety-three outpatients with (PD) 89 healthy aged controls were recruited. Internal consistency Cronbach's alpha. Validity Spearman correlation analysis, t test, factor analysis variance Duncan's multiple range tests.In PD group, mean age 65.13 ± 9.84 years, duration 42.41 37.01 months. Ceiling floor effects ranged 1.1%-2.2% 1.1%-15.1%, respectively. alpha eight dimensions from .70 .97. All correlated each other, except for stigma dimension. patients had significantly lower quality life than did, bodily discomfort Eight PDQ-39 loaded on one factor. Modified Hoehn Yarh Staging score 4 worst life. The relationships among Koran is fair good, social support dimension.The proved be reliable valid.
