Effects of Child Life intervention on the symptom cluster of pain–anxiety–fatigue–sleep disturbance in children with acute leukemia undergoing chemotherapy

ABSTRACT
This study aims to explore the application effect of Child Life intervention on pain, anxiety, fatigue, and sleep disturbance in children with acute leukemia.In a single-blinded, parallel-group randomized controlled trial, 96 leukemia were either group, which received twice week for 8 weeks, or control routine care. Outcomes evaluated at baseline day 3 postintervention.All participants completed study. Compared group showed significant reduction (P < 0.001). However, no differences observed disorders excessive somnolence.Child can effectively improve undergoing chemotherapy. The results suggest that symptom cluster management based provided promising approach simultaneously treating multiple symptoms within cluster.
