The relationship between quality of life and fear of Turkish individuals during the COVID-19 pandemic: A cross-sectional study

ABSTRACT
In this study, it was aimed to determine the relationship between quality of life and fear experienced due COVID-19 pandemic.This cross-sectional descriptive study conducted with a total 1060 participants from Turkey's 65 provinces. The research data were collected through an online questionnaire consisting three parts: "Personal Information Form", "The Fear Scale (FCS)" "World Health Organization Life Quality Scale-Short Form (WHOQOL-BREF)". Independent two-group t-test (Student's t-test), one-way ANOVA test used compare means groups. Pearson Correlation Coefficient calculated level correlation two independent continuous variables. A value p < .05 accepted as threshold for statistical significance.The levels women, married individuals primary school graduates found be high, while low among poor economic status, those symptoms subjects who had been in close contact COVID-19-positive patient. addition, there inverse related (physical psychological health).Nurses are recommended develop new care evaluation strategies that will cover psychosocial areas, well physical health, order protect maintain well-being during pandemic.
