ABSTRACT
The industrial-scale high-temperature preheating air-blown KEDA®circulating fluidized-bed (KEDA®CFB) gasification process has been developed by KEDA(ANHUI) Clean Energy Co., Ltd. to produce industrial fuel gas. This paper presents the design and first operational results of a 15MWth demonstration KEDA®CFB plant where about 3.6 tons bituminous coal was gasified per hour. influences steam ratio (SC), equivalence (ER), oxygen concentration (OC) on gas composition, high heating value (HHV), carbon conversion efficiency (CCE), cold (CGE) were investigated systematically. It is shown that increasing SC from 0.18 0.38 favors water–gas reaction CO–shift causes H2 CO2 content in raw rise. As ER increases 0.27, it conducive partial combustion Boudouard reactions char, HHV CGE products are 6.38 MJ/Nm3 66.8%, respectively. OC increased 21 vol% 27 vol%, CCE 71.8% 79.8% mainly due increase rate residence time. this work can significantly contribute operation gasifiers, development numerical models.
