ABSTRACT
We describe a new transurethral technique for distal ureter management and the improvement of intraoperative exposure during LESS-NU.A total 20 assisted LESS-NU were performed between May 2018 December 2020 in our institution. The access route operation was via single-port, with four channels placed through transumbilical incision. After lower separated from bladder wall, 1470 laser working channel urethra to precisely cut ureteral orifice. Following this, self-made auxiliary port inserted cuff opening facilitate resection kidney. peri-operative postoperative data then retrospectively collected analysed. All procedures completed successfully one patient needed an additional port. mean operative time 196.8 ± 45.8 min estimated blood loss 58.9 32.0 ml. days required surgical drain removal hospital stay 4.6 11.1 6.4 days, respectively. One developed fever following surgery but there no major complications. During average follow-up period, which lasted 25.5 months, spinal cord metastasis died 8 months after surgery. No obvious abnormalities found any other patients. The tansurethral approach is deemed safe efficient. used offers accurate control good LESS.
