ABSTRACT
Background and aimsThe distribution of lipoprotein(a) [Lp(a)] has not been well-studied in a large population China. The relationship between Lp(a) carotid atherosclerosis remains undefined. In this study, we aimed to investigate the levels assess their association with arteriopathy China.MethodsIn cross-sectional 411,634 adults measurements from 22 health check-up centers were used Among participants data, ultrasound was performed routinely at seven covering 75,305 subjects. Carotid intima-media thickness (cIMT) plaque as surrogate biomarkers arteriopathy. multivariate logistic regression model applied evaluate increased arteriopathy.ResultsThe concentrations right-skewed, median concentration 10.60 mg/dL. proportions ≥30 mg/dL ≥50 16.75% 7.10%, respectively. level higher females individuals northern China, age. Spearman's analysis revealed weak correlations continuous variable other lipid profiles. multiple showed that had an risk cIMT ≥1.0 mm (OR = 1.138, 95% CI, 1.071–1.208) 1.296, 1.219–1.377) compared those <50 mg/dL.ConclusionsThis is first study Our findings positive elevated (≥50 mg/dL) prevalence atherosclerosis, which implies cardiovascular disease future.
