ABSTRACT
Progesterone suppresses several ancient pathways in a concentration-dependent manner. Based on these characteristics, progesterone is considered candidate anticancer drug. However, the concentration of used for therapy should be higher than physiological concentration, which makes it difficult to develop progesterone-based drugs. We previously developed liposome-encapsulated (Lipo-P4) with enhanced effects, strongly suppressed triple-negative breast cancer cell proliferation humanized mice. In this study, we aimed clarify whether Lipo-P4 effectively B-lineage cells. selected six B-cell lymphoma and two myeloma lines, analyzed their surface markers using flow cytometry. Next, prepared examined its effect cells, three ovarian clear carcinoma prostate one adenocarcinoma line. all lines. All except HT line, were more susceptible other types, regardless expression differentiation markers. Empty liposomes did not suppress proliferation. These results suggest that encapsulated efficiently inhibits cells may become an drug cancers.
