ABSTRACT
Common characteristics of aging include reduced somatic stem cell number, susceptibility to cardiac injuries, metabolic imbalances and increased risk for oncogenesis. In this study, Pleiotropic anti-aging effects a decoction Jing Si herbal drink (JS) containing eight Traditional Chinese Medicine based herbs, with known against related disorders was evaluated. Adipose derived mesenchymal cells (ADMSCs) from 16 week old adult 24 month WKY rats were evaluated the age-related changes in homeostasis. Effects JS on self-renewal, klotho Telomerase Reverse Transcriptase expression DNA damage response determined by immunofluorescence staining. The confirmed senescence induced human ADMSCs addition, potential maintain telomere length qPCR analysis challenged long term doxorubicin. Further, doxorubicin-induced hypertrophic effect H9c2 cells; MPP+-induced damages SH-SY5Y neuron investigated. maintaining regulation, terms blood glucose regulation type-II diabetes mice model, their suppress malignancy different cancer ascertained. results show that maintains homeostasis provides cytoprotection. addition regulates metabolism, enhances autophagic clearances neurons suppresses growth migration. acts multiple targets cumulative protective various age-associated therefore it is candidate pleiotropic agent healthy aging.
