ABSTRACT
Brain ischemia is one of the leading causes death and long-term disability worldwide. Cessation blood supply to brain directly stimulates many pathological events, including glutamate overload neuroinflammation. Glial cell activation occurs shortly after onset, resulting in release proinflammatory cytokines exacerbation detrimental effects Proinflammatory signals influence infiltration a wide range immune cells, neutrophils, T cells monocytes/macrophages. In this study, we aimed verify potential anti-inflammatory effect Chicago Sky Blue 6B (CSB6B) rat model focal cerebral (90-minute middle artery occlusion). CSB6B was administered 2 h before (pretreatment) or 1.5 reperfusion onset (posttreatment). A ischemic preconditioning used as comparator pretreatment with CSB6B. The results indicated that posttreatment had profound were associated reduced neurological deficits decreased infarct volume. At 24 h, 3 days 7 ischemia, administration protein levels cytokines, such Il1β, Il6, Il18 TNFα, cortex dorsal striatum. Treatment also limited scope microglia astrocyte cells. Taken together, study shows compounds might be promising pharmacological tools; however, further studies on improvements drug-like properties these must undertaken.
