ABSTRACT
The nuclear pore complex is a transport channel embedded in the envelope and made up of 30 different components termed nucleoporins (Nups). In addition to their classical role transport, subset Nups has conserved regulation transcription via direct binding chromatin. molecular details this function remain obscure, it unknown how metazoan are recruited chromatin locations or what steps they regulate. Here, we demonstrate genome-wide physical association between Nup98 histone-modifying complexes MBD-R2/NSL [corrected] Trx/MLL. Importantly, identify requirement for MBD-R2 recruitment many its genomic target sites. Consistent with interaction Trx/MLL complex, shown be necessary Hox gene expression developing fly tissues. These findings introduce roles epigenetic that may underlie basis oncogenicity fusions leukemia.
