ABSTRACT
Previous studies of the murine Ly49 and human KIR gene clusters implicated competing sense antisense promoters in control variegated expression. In current study, an examination transcription factor genes defines abundance convergent divergent sense/antisense promoter pairs, suggesting that may cell fate determination. Differentiation CD34+ hematopoietic progenitors vitro shows cells with GATA1 have enhanced GATA2 a mast phenotype, whereas increased transcripts erythroblast phenotype. Detailed analyses AHR RORC demonstrate ability to act as binary switches association immature/progenitor These data indicate alternative fates generated by competition lineage-determining factors contribute programming differentiation.
