ABSTRACT
To mount an adaptive immune response, dendritic cells must migrate to lymph nodes present antigens T cells. Critical 3D migration is the nucleus, which size-limiting barrier for through extracellular matrix. Here, we show that inflammatory activation of leads nucleus becoming spherically deformed and enables overcome typical 2- 3-μm diameter limit gaps in We nuclear shape change partially attained reduced cell adhesion, whereas improved achieved reprogramming actin cytoskeleton. Specifically, our data point a model whereby phosphorylation cofilin-1 at serine 41 drives assembly cofilin-actomyosin ring proximal enhances collagen gels. In summary, these describe signaling events deform their enhance migratory capacity.
