ABSTRACT
The need to reduce the environmental impact of steel industry necessitates development new production routes that drastically emissions carbon dioxide. A potential solution is change reductant from monoxide hydrogen. In such ironmaking technologies, it important understand iron oxide reduction kinetics under novel conditions. this work, a mathematical model small fixed-bed reactor was developed using key assumptions Shrinking Core Model describe reactive network and mass transport phenomena involved. found be robust perform in consistent way when subjected changes parameters It demonstrated qualitatively reproduce results experiments small-scale laboratory reactor. Preliminary analysis indicated promising adapt quantitatively experimental results.
