ABSTRACT
In order to calculate the unsteady aerodynamic characteristics of a tilt-rotor in conversion mode, virtual blade model (VBM) and an real (RBM) are established respectively. A new multi-layer moving-embedded grid technique is proposed reduce numerical dissipation wake mode. this method, system generated abound rotor accounts for rigid motions, searching scheme named adaptive inverse map (AIM) search corresponding donor elements present translate information among different computational zones. dual-time method employed fulfill calculations on flowfield tilt-rotor, second-order centered difference considering artificial viscosity used flux. improve computing efficiency, single program multiple data (SPMD) parallel acceleration technology adopted, according characteristic current system. The lift drag coefficients NACA0012 airfoil, dynamic pressure distributions below typical plane, sectional three-bladed Branum–Tung hover flight calculated respectively, VBM RBM validated by comparing results with available experimental data. Then, forces flowfields XV-15 modes, such as fixed mode at tilt angles (15°, 30°, 60°) whole which converses from 0° 90°, numerically simulated By analyses comparisons some meaningful conclusions about distorted blade-tip vortex distribution force variation obtained, these investigation could provide good foundation aircraft design future.
