ABSTRACT
Ultrasonic vibration-assisted ELID (UVA-ELID) grinding is utilized as a novel and highly efficient processing method for hard brittle materials such ceramics. In this study, the UVA-ELID ZTA ceramics employed to investigate influence of thermomechanical loading on characteristics oxide film. Based fracture mechanics material, model internal stress film damage proposed. The composed mechanical force thermal generating from temperature. theoretical established force, respectively. Then finite element analysis used simulate model. temperature measured during actual test. During process, effect wheel speed depth analyzed. Compared with conventional (C-ELID) grinding, decreased by 25.6% 22.4% increase respectively, declined 10.7% 12.8% grinding. in latter 16.3% 20.8% reduced 12.3% 15.6%. It was experimentally found that topographies layer surface machined better than former. results indicate action ultrasonic vibration establish significant processing. Subsequently, it should be well considered future reference when
