ABSTRACT
To avoid climate change, the world must reach net-zero carbon emissions by 2025 to achieve goal of a sustainable environment. Improving resource efficiency is one important strategies Effectively recycling resources and reducing energy consumption have become international issues today. Therefore, this research was recycle waste oyster shells, combined it with geopolymer technology, added foaming agents create an innovative building material that 100% recyclable after use – "Foam heat-insulating bricks", thereby consumption. Through physical properties (apparent density, porosity, water absorption, etc.) mechanical (compressive strength flexural strength), discussed factors such as lime-sand ratio, alkaline solution concentration, agent, etc., effected on performance environmental protection foam bricks. The newly prepared bricks were also evaluated for their economic aspects according relevant standards. results show that::(1) higher concentration greater proportion lime-sand, which finished product higher. Samples 10 M−55, M−64 RWITGP-60 can meet G2 lightweight standard; WITGP-46, WITGP-55 WITGP-64 roof brick standard. (2) better performance, porosity thermal effect better, but worse compressive strength. agent Sodium-perborate(NaBO3) > Aluminum(Al) Nothing-added(WITGP). (3) Oyster shell foamed are 100 % recyclable, remanufacturing, extremely high development potential. (4) It could pass "Toxicity Characteristics Leaching Procedure" test comply Taiwan's general specifications green materials. (5) heat flow resistance adding different aluminum greatest benefit, order is: Aluminum (Al = 133.4)W/m2 Sodium-perborate (NaBO3 93.6)W/m2 Nothing-added (WITGP 90.6)W/m2 Concrete (CON 68.2)W/m2. (6) produces 0.473 kg dioxide. Compared concrete bricks, reduce 48.7 save price 451.15 yuan/brick.
