ABSTRACT
Predicting the variations in climate for coming 1-10 years is of great interest decision makers, as this time horizon coincides with strategic planning stakeholders from climate-vulnerable sectors such agriculture. This study attempts to illustrate potential value decadal predictions development services by establishing interactions and collaboration concerned food production security. Building on our experience interacting users increased understanding their needs gathered over through participation various European activities initiatives, we developed a forecast product that provides tailored user-friendly information about multi-year dry conditions five global wheat harvesting regions. revealed coproduction approach, where interaction between user service provider established at an early stage development, fundamental step successfully provide useful ultimately actionable interested stakeholders. The also insights shed light reasons delayed entry discourse practice, obtained surveying scientists discussing prediction experts. Finally, it shows key challenges new source still faces.
