The current BD Kiestra™ total laboratory automation (TLA) system automates specimen inoculation, incubation, and digital visualization of cultures prior to initiation manual or semi-automated identification (ID) antimicrobial susceptibility testing (AST). study aimed compare the performance, in a clinical setting, fully automated research-use-only prototype, IdentifA/SusceptA (automated system), our TLA which utilizes IDs ASTs (current system).
