ABSTRACT
The increase of the population living in cities has put a lot pressure urban transportation systems. It comes, among other things, with noteworthy air pollution, time and energy wastage, drivers' discomfort due to parking spots scarcity. Finding spot become major problem for drivers. To overcome this problem, smart services that detect occupancy status inform drivers about their availability have been proposed. deployment these solutions is reducing costs associated traffic jams or gas consumption. However, one main challenges faced when planning deploying kind service communication technology used by sensors, which are typically buried under asphalt, as it cover large areas city most cost-effective way. In paper, we analyze behavior performance LoRaWAN network supporting Santander. sensors described thorough experimental evaluation presented. goal assessment provide insights could be helpful better understanding key factors affecting communication. long-termed analysis deployments studied, allowed us derive an propagation model useful city-scale IoT infrastructures employing networks wireless access technology. Moreover, also analyzed LoRa order evaluate possibility leveraging information confidence on sensor readings through AI-based predictors.
