ABSTRACT
Deicing agents may compromise the performance of asphalt mixture. This article aims to study feasibility using styrene-butadiene-styrene (SBS)/crumb rubber (CR) modifier prepare a deicing mixture with satisfactory for ultra-thin wearing course. High/low-temperature performance, water stability and deicing-related performances were evaluated by conducting series laboratory tests from micro macro level considering different incorporation rates anti-freezing agent SBS/CR modifier. The results find that modification enhances high low-temperature properties binder, optimal ratios are 2% 16%, respectively. addition as filling material improves high-temperature mortar, but negatively affects performance. For mixtures, can enhance up 56%, only minor impact on anti-sliding properties. However, they harm stability. A recommended maximum replacement ratio 80% achieves in dynamic (11,053 times/mm), flexural strength (8.41 MPa), tensile strain (3011.08E−6), Marshall (9.61 residual (81.28%), free-thaw splitting (80.30%), meeting engineering standards. An Anti-freezing 20% 100% correlates linearly snow-melting rate 16.3%− 96.8% 9.4%− 57.0%. conductivity soaking solution has been identified valuable indicator predicting functionality. research provide insights into design facilitate practical implementation this innovative functional material.
