ABSTRACT
Most of cereal crops are glycophytes which sensitive to salinity. Thus, the increase land salinization globally threatens crop production. Conventional strategies breeding programs, flushing saline soil with fresh water, and phytoremediation address salinity issue in production have their own limitations. New technique such as nanobiotechnology has emerged a promising approach improve plant salt tolerance. In this review, we summarized nanomaterials used for improving Then, discussed mechanisms underlying improved tolerance by application nanomaterials. The role Na+/K+ ratio, reactive oxygen species (ROS) homeostasis, hormones, polyamines, gas signaling molecules nano-improved was further highlighted discussed. Overall, use well-designed should be encouraged better facilitating sustainable agriculture.
