ABSTRACT
The disposal of sludge processes accounts for 60% the total operation and 40% emissions greenhouse gas from wastewater treatment plants operations. Moreover, contains pathogenic microorganisms, organics, inorganics, trace metals emerging micropollutants, which can be a public health menace. To comply with Environmental Protection Agency standards, must stabilized detoxified before being disposed or reused. This study focuses on use biochar (adsorbent) pyrolysis removal selected (copper, cobalt nickel) in aqueous solution by optimization temperature adsorbent particle sizes. morphology surface at increased (400, 500 600 oC) showed an enhanced space structure (pores) that promoted adsorption metal ions. A decreased size 250 μm to 100 pyrolyzed oC, oC resulted (77.86%, 75% 56.25% copper, nickel respectively) solution. Biochar produced alternative processes.
