ABSTRACT
This study examined the adsorption capacity of natural zeolite (ZN) and treated with citric acid (ZCA) nitric (ZNA) to evaluate their effectiveness in removing pharmaceutical compound diclofenac (DCF) from water batch experiments. Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) textural properties (BET) were used investigate changes resulting chemical modifications. The findings demonstrate a significant enhancement surface area, pore volume, presence acidic sites, an improved for DCF. observed increase Si/Al ratio following treatment suggests de-alumination zeolite. Results have shown percentage DCF adsorbed 76.8 % 11.2 using acid-treated untreated zeolites, respectively. In comparison, achieves 48.9 %.The kinetic was assessed pseudo-first pseudo-second-order models, it that provided best fit all adsorbents. Furthermore, BET model exhibited isotherm data. maximum capacities found follow order: ZNA (85.9 mg/g) > ZCA (33.6 ZN (14.4 mg/g). These results indicate enhances zeolite, shows most improvement.
