ABSTRACT
Numerical simulation of industrial reheating furnaces belongs to important procedures for an optimization their design and processing parameters. A 3D numerical model a continuous gas burners heated walking-beam furnace is introduced in this paper. The main benefit the compromise between its complexity computing speed. connects empirical knowledge. It based on Hottel zonal method compartment solution heat transfer process solids. allows specifying charge, heating system includes convective radiative including participation semi-transparent gaseous atmosphere. direct measurement charge temperature course using thermocouples thermal box-barrier are introduced. Comparisons results with simulations presented. Connection parameters discussed. good agreement theoretical measured data shows, that most physical process.
