ABSTRACT
In this work, the mechanical properties of seven animal glues commercially available for conservation practice are compared. The performance these materials within ranges temperature and relative humidity commonly found in uncontrolled environments was quantified on cast glue films using dynamic analysis (DMA) tensile testing. applied experimental protocol resulted identification phase transitions between glassy rubbery states evaluation those stiffness, viscoelasticity, strength, strain at break each tested adhesive. presented results allow prediction environmental conditions which specific may fail help to select most appropriate adhesive, from a point view, particular applications.
