ABSTRACT
The Covid-19 pandemic caused by the novel coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 has completely reshaped lives of people around world, including higher education students. Beyond serious health consequences for a proportion those directly affected virus, holds important implications life and work students, considerably affecting their physical mental well-being. To capture how students perceived first wave pandemic's impact, one most comprehensive large-scale online surveys across world was conducted. Carried out between 5 May 2020 15 June 2020, survey came at time when countries were experiencing arduous lockdown restrictions. questionnaire prepared in seven different languages (English, Italian, North Macedonian, Portuguese, Romanian, Spanish, Turkish) covered various aspects students' life, socio-demographic academic characteristics, infrastructure skills studying from home, social emotional circumstances. Using convenience sampling method, distributed to aged 18 over enrolled institution. final dataset consisted 31,212 responses 133 6 continents. relationships selected characteristics elements student tested using chi-squared test. data may prove useful researchers impacts on life. Policymakers can utilize determine best solutions as they formulate policy recommendations strategies support during this any future pandemic.
