ABSTRACT
The purpose of this study was to investigate the feasibility identifying and characterizing three most common types endoleaks within a thoracic aorta aneurysm model using bicolor K-edge imaging with spectral photon-counting computing tomography (SPCCT) system in combination biphasic contrast agent injection.Three (type 1, 2 3) were created dynamic anthropomorphic phantom. Protocol consisted an injection iodinated material followed 80 seconds after gadolinium-based (GBCA). phantom scanned clinical prototype SPCCT during phase consisting early distribution GBCA late iodine. Conventional images reconstructed for differentiating between agents measuring their respective attenuation values concentrations inside outside stent graft.Conventional failed provide specific aneurysmal sac graft while differentiated distribution. In type 1 3 endoleaks, concentration measured at 6.1 ± 3.7 (standard deviation [SD]) mg/mL 6.0 4.0 (SD) mg/mL, respectively, favor blood flow. endoleak, iodine 24.3 5.5 flow sac.Bicolor enabled allows characterization single acquisition injection.
