ABSTRACT
Structural damage is significantly influenced by the various parameters of a close-in explosion. To establish blast loading model for cylindrical charges according to these parameters, series field experiments and systematic numerical analysis were conducted. A high-fidelity finite element developed using AUTODYN was first validated data collected from tests conducted in this previous studies. quantitative then performed determine influence charge shape, aspect ratio (length diameter), orientation, detonation configuration on characteristics distributions (incident peak overpressure impulse) scaled distance. The results revealed that secondary generated mainly distributed along axial direction smaller than an equivalent spherical charge. effects shape at 45° 67.5° plane could be neglected distances greater 2 m/kg1/3; effect ratios 90° (radial) all distances; double-end increased radial up 60% compared single-end detonation. Finally, empirical considering influences ratio, configuration. obtained study can serve as reference design aid engineers blast-resistant structures.
