In patients with full-thickness focal cartilage defects, osteochondral allograft is a technique for restoration of hyaline cartilage; however, in genu varum, the diseased compartment knee generally offloaded as well. A high tibial osteotomy presents biomechanical solution to malalignment and offloading knee.
