ABSTRACT
Research on the social-ecological system unifies society, economy, resources and environment provides an integrated systematic research framework through which to study complex earth problems, such as climate change, globalization, land use/cover change population growth. This aims provide support for excavation of deep-seated coupling mechanism by revealing basic structure this answer following three questions. What are elements system? correlations between elements? How does work? The results follows. (1) consists six elements—population, capital, facility, management, resource, environment—the first four constitute social subsystem, last two ecological subsystem. (2) material circulation production chains formed specific information flow interrelated; they fed each other form a unit system, hexagonal network is networking elements. (3) essential feature operation circulation. chain nested in chain; that is, subsystem raw materials services production, then starts next cycle after absorbing waste generated during consumption process. reveals not only static geometric with stability elasticity layer due multiple factors but also dynamic circular based movement factors, can distinguish stock.
