ABSTRACT
Groundwater drought is distinctive comparing with other droughts, featuring high concealment, long duration, and obvious hysteresis. It may have significant negative effects on agriculture, eco-environment, social economy sectors. Therefore, investigating the temporal spatial characteristics of groundwater its driving factors meaningful for monitoring assessing risks shortage. In this study, a index based storage anomalies (GWSAs) derived from GRACE satellites was developed to detect analyze events. The spatiotemporal variations trends historical droughts 2002 2021 in North China Plain were evaluated. addition, correlations between meteorological agricultural analyzed by detrended cross-correlation analysis. results indicated that (1) standardized anomaly (SGSAI) could better identify characterize eliminating heterogeneity GWSAs; (2) 2021, intensity, frequency, area showed an increasing trend; (3) had hysteresis (>9 months) correlation increased, while relationship decreased; (4) long-term overexploitation resources might be main factor exacerbating area.
