ABSTRACT
In order to reduce the required volume for thermal energy storage, a finned plate latent heat storage system domestic applications is presented in this paper. This innovative design allows exchanging of between water and RT60, used as phase change material. The simulation that covered by validated mathematical model. model, based on simplified numerical approach, optimal final prototype, which compared with conventional 500 l hot tank usually integrated heating applications. It obtained resulting one half volume, more compact configuration can be easily space. solution will bring great opportunity especially those where there lack available space, it case residential flats.
