ABSTRACT
Clopidogrel decreases recurrent ischemic events and improves intracoronary stent patency. There are scarce data on the effect of short-term long-term clopidogrel symptom recurrence adverse cardiac following off-pump coronary artery bypass graft surgery (OPCAB).Postoperative antiplatelet medication use was prospectively evaluated in 591 OPCAB patients. administered for 30 days 186 patients 139 received (mean 33.6+/-12.0 months) addition to aspirin. Follow-up 37.7+/-13.4 months. Symptom (angina congestive heart failure), (myocardial infarction, reintervention, sudden death), overall mortality were recorded. Multivariate Cox regression analysis used evaluate predictors end points. There no difference with respect preoperative risk factors between patient groups. In multivariate analysis, postoperative independently decreased (p<0.0001, OR 0.3 [0.15-0.99]; 95% CI) 0.2 [0.10-0.45]; CI). receivers had significantly lower angina recurrence, myocardial death during follow-up. incidence points (30 days) drug. 17 bleeding complications (4 major 13 minor) 15 follow-up period. Of patients, 6 aspirin (1.8%) while remaining 9 (3.3%) only at time (p=0.8).Clopidogrel therapy associated OPCAB. Extending beyond did not have a significant defined points.
