ABSTRACT
This paper provides a comprehensive review in the domain of hazardous material transportation from an Operational Research point view. The paper's focus lies on hazmat routing, routing-scheduling, and network design problems. objective this is twofold: (1) reviewing models' assumptions, objectives constraints, decisions, input parameters, basic modeling/solution techniques, case studies, (2) highlighting underlying features challenges designing models with different modes. Besides, most significant research gaps literature are identified through systematic in-depth at micro-level. Finally, set promising future directions proposed upon authorities could draw better decisions. As key finding after performing review, we believe that considerable number consist hybridizing problems, i.e., amount to borrowing some properties problem integrating them into another problem. has led valuable studies
