ABSTRACT
Abstract In the presence study we describe synthesis and application of new nanocomposite (ZnO/CNTs) room temperature ionic liquid (RTIL) modified carbon paste electrode as a voltammetric sensor for determination of noradrenaline (NE) in pharmaceutical and biological samples. The proposed sensor exhibits an enhanced effectiveness for the electro-oxidation of NE in aqueous solution. The oxidation peak potential for NE at a surface of the ionic liquid (1, 3-dipropylimidazolium bromide) ZnO/CNTs carbon paste electrode (ZnO/CNTs/IL/CPE) appeared at 440 mV. Square wave voltammetry (SWV) was applied as a very sensitive electrochemical method for the determination of NE. The linear response range and detection limit were found to be 5.0 × 10−8 to 4.5 × 10−4 M and 2.0 × 10−8 M, respectively. The proposed sensor was successfully applied for the determination of NE in urine athletes and ampoule samples.
