ABSTRACT
Organic fraction of municipal solid waste is a type biomass that attractive due to its marginal cost and suitability for biogas production. The residual product organic digestion digestate, the high moisture content which problem, even after mechanical dewatering, significant heat requirement drying. Hydrothermal carbonisation process can potentially offer great benefits by improved dewatering valorisation digestate into better-quality fuel. However, such produces liquid by-product effluent rich in compounds. Membrane separation could be used treat increase concentration compounds while at same time facilitating recovery clean water permeate. This work presents results investigation performed using polymeric membranes. study showed membrane keeps organics retentate. Such significantly increases biomethane potential as well energy theoretically generation concentrated retentate wet oxidation process.
