ABSTRACT
This paper presents a new approach for the derivation of fragility curves, named FRAgility through Capacity spectrum ASsessment (FRACAS). FRACAS adapts capacity assessment method and uses inelastic response spectra derived from earthquake ground motion accelerograms to construct curves. Following description approach, compares predicted maximum interstory drift (MIDR) obtained nonlinear time history analyses (NLTHA) two case-study buildings subjected 150 natural accelerograms. is seen represent well both structures when compared NLTHA. Observations are made as sensitivity curves assumptions in curve statistical model fitting. The also demonstrates ability capture record-to-record variability properly translate this into resulting
