ABSTRACT
Peritraumatic dissociation is a risk factor for developing PTSD. The Dissociative Experiences Questionnaire (PDEQ) self-report inventory used to assess that occurred at the time of trauma. aim this study was validation PDEQ in French.Ninety French speaking traumatized victims presenting emergency department were recruited. They administered shortly after exposure and others trauma-related measures 2 weeks 1 month posttrauma.Principal components analyses suggested single solution PDEQ. Significant correlations between acute posttraumatic stress symptoms indicated moderate strong convergent validity. also showed satisfactory test-retest reliability internal consistency.This first one investigate such detailed psychometric findings on This confirms unity concept peritraumatic value PDEQ-French Version it.
