ABSTRACT
Auricularia cornea is an important edible mushroom crop in China but the occurrence of cobweb disease has cause significance economic loss its production. The rate 16.65% all over country. In present study, a new pathogen Hypomyces sp. nov. was found to disease. July 2021, three strains fungal were isolated from infected fruiting bodies and identified as H. based on morphological studies molecular phylogenetic analysis internal transcribed spacer (ITS) nuclear ribosomal DNA, mitochondrial large subunit (LSU) rRNA partial translation elongation factor 1-alpha genes. representative isolates pathogenic species used perform pathogenicity test with spore suspension that caused similar symptoms those observed cultivated field, same pathogens could be re-isolated, which fulfill Koch's postulates. typical biological characterization examined serious determine favorable growth conditions, including suitable temperature, pH, carbon, nitrogen sources light conditions. findings revealed optimum temperature 25 °C, pH 6, soluble starch peptone preferred carbon sources, respectively. hyphal inhibition method for primary vitro screening seven common fungicides, most fungicide Prochloraz manganese chloride complex, EC
