ABSTRACT
A series of imidazolium bromide salts (NIM-Br 1a, 1b and 1c) bearing different lengths alkyl chains were synthesized theirin vitro antibacterial activities determined by measuring the minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) values for Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa Enterococcus faecalis. In addition, these derivatives also evaluated against biofilm produced bacterial strains. All compounds found to be effective Gram-positive Gram-negative bacteria, more on S. aureus production than others.
