ABSTRACT
Salinity is still one of the main factors that limit growth and production crops. However, currently, hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) priming has become a promising technique to alleviate deleterious effects caused by salt. Therefore, this study aimed test different leaf spraying strategies with H2O2 for acclimation sunflower plants salt stress, identifying physiological biochemical changes involved in process. The experiment was conducted completely randomized design, four replications. Initially, concentrations were tested (0.1; 1; 10 100 mM) associated applications: 1AP - application (48 h before exposure NaCl); 2AP two applications (1AP + 7 days after NaCl) 3AP three (2AP 14 NaCl), besides reference treatments also added: control (absence NaCl absence H2O2) (presence mM H2O2). hydroponic system containing Furlani's nutrient solution. Salt stress reduced plants, however, through able reduce salt, especially 1 treatment application. acts as metabolic signal assisting maintenance ionic redox homeostasis, consequently increasing tolerance stress.
