ABSTRACT
The present study was carried out to the variation, broad-sense heritability, genetic advance, correlation among traits for growth, yield, and its attributing in maize genotypes. Ten genotypes were evaluated a randomized complete block design (RCBD) with three replications from June 2019 September 2019. results indicated that significantly different all traits. For traits, phenotypic coefficient of variation (PCV) higher than genotypic (GCV). grain yield showed highest PCV (26.91%) GCV (25.9%) whereas leaf width at maturity lowest (4.07%) (6.05%). Genetic Advance over Mean (GAM) ranged value (0.1%) days 50% anthesis (51.36%) yield. Higher values heritability GAM % obtained (0.93, 51.36%) 1000 weight (0.99, 36.95%) GAM% found length (0.5, 7.25%) (0.39, 5.25%). Grain positive significant test (r = 0.706), cob 0.671), diameter 0.573) number rows per 0.539), respectively. Therefore, having high can be used as selection indices indirect improvement productivity.
