Shanghai style furniture (SSF) was the classic case of Chinese culture, we have researched on teaching content SSF design for course in art speciality, and carried out practice some students. According to this practice, students' attitude towards summarized, which will provide a basis inheriting developing teaching. In our 132 students had learned experiences SSF, summarized their design. process redesign generally speaking, characterized by combination China European modern simplicity. Modern elements were added design, fine works refined traditional modeling, so as make more line with trend better carry forward concept service life. After studying course, these basically mastered method SSF. Excavating practical value culture designing new are not copy style, but recreation basing cultures.
