ABSTRACT
This work aimed to investigate photocatalytic properties of GQDs@PEG@Mg-ZnFe2O4 nanocomposite, composed graphene quantum dots (GQDs), polyethylene glycol (PEG), and Mg-ZnFe2O4, for the degradation methylene blue (MB) crystal violet (CV). nanocomposite was synthesized using facile ultrasonics-assisted methodology. XRD analysis confirmed formation spinel structure Mg-ZnFe2O4 in whereas presence GQDs PEG by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) revealed a reduction agglomeration particle size ternary nanocomposite. The demonstrates remarkable efficiency 98 % CV MB dyes sunlight 120 min, indicating its potential as an efficient photocatalyst. Vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM) superparamagnetic behavior which enables magnetic recovery photocatalyst after process. Overall, this study emphasizes utilization environmentally friendly approach effectively eliminate organic pollutants from wastewater, addressing crucial environmental concern.
