ABSTRACT
Tea (Camellia sinensis) is a widely consumed beverage known for its numerous health benefits, largely attributed to rich content of quality determining secondary metabolites such as methylxanthine compounds and bioactive phenolic compounds. The goal this study was find out variations the levels methylxanthines, compounds, antioxidant activity in methanolic water extracts 129 tea samples grown three different ecological regions Bangladesh named Panchagar, Sylhet, Chattogram. Methylxanthine were determined by using HPLC-DAD, profile analysed UV–vis spectrophotometric methods methanol hot leaves. IC50 values showed trend Panchagar > Sylhet Chattogram extract, respectively. results revealed significant (p < 0.05) methylxanthines content: Sylhet. Caffeine significantly higher (103.02 ± 5.55 mg/g dry extract) extract leaves district lower (53.33 4.30 district. possessed catechin (57.01 5.50 (55.23 4.11 extracts, utilization canonical discriminant functions yielded highly favorable outcomes classification from distinct cultivation origins Bangladesh, relying on their inherent features. This demonstrated potential effects geographical properties tea, emphasizing importance regional differences optimizing benefits well dispersing across country.
