ABSTRACT
Aim and backgroundThe emergence of Multidrug-Resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae is a global concern due to high mortality treatment challenges. One the most important genes for resistance NDM, which makes organism resistant antibiotics. Today, use nanoparticles as therapeutic options has stimulated researchers around world investigate its effects. The aim this study was effects biosynthesized bismuth (Bi NPs) on expression NDM in multidrug-resistant K. pneumoniae.Materials methodsIn study, 5 clinical isolates from patients referred Afzalipour Hospital Kerman, Iran, were used. Antibiotic sensitivity test performed by disc diffusion method. presence gene checked using PCR reaction. containing exposed characterized nanoparticles, investigated real-time PCR.ResultsThe results showed that 3 had genes. In TEM SEM analysis spherical structure an average size 22.36 nm. investigation biogenic Bi NPs demonstrated samples treated with decreased 1.6 times compared control group (p<0.011).ConclusionOur findings have potential deal antibiotic can be promising treatment.
