ABSTRACT
The high-performance liquid chromatography coupled with a diode array detector (HPLC-DAD) was optimized for the simultaneous determination of 11 compounds, belonging to polyphenols (gallic acid and seven catechins) methylxanthines (caffeine, theobromine, theophylline). results obtained all validation parameters HPLC-DAD method showed that is sensitive enough routine analysis basic chromatographic equipment, thus it has significant potential be highly applicable in common laboratory practice. used 60 green tea infusions originating from four tea-producing countries. dataset contributes enhancing current data on tea. extracts revealed differences depending origin samples. Linear Discriminant Analysis (LDA) applied test accuracy identification samples, based chemical composition focus polyphenolic compounds analysed this study. Based cross-validation results, model 93.75 % classification Japan, China (Mainland), (Taiwan) South Korea.
