ABSTRACT
Chronic otitis media with effusion (COME) is a common cause of hearing loss in children and adults. Laryngopharyngeal reflux (LPR) often overlooked the clinical management COME complicated by LPR. This study aimed to investigate presence concentration trypsin pepsin middle ear (MEE), as well recurrence rate (OME) patients trypsin-/pepsin-positive MEE after acid-suppressive treatment (AST). In this study, were found patients. Follow-up results showed that OME within 1 year was significantly lower AST group than non-AST group. Taken together, can be offered detection MEE, if test positive, acid-suppressing drugs such proton pump inhibitors could recommended prevent OME.
